Six things have to be true before Orion opens a trade. If one is not, Orion says which one instead of trading badly.

02 · First run

Your first run, step by step.

Eight steps, from the secure download to the first tick.

  • Before you start
  • MetaTrader 5 installed and logged in
  • Your trading account registered to your licence in the portal

  1. Download

    Open the Software page in your portal and press Secure download. The button appears only after your authenticator is verified. The card shows the file name and the start of its SHA-256 checksum.

    Portal says“Verify your authenticator to unlock the download.”

  2. Place it in Experts

    Open the MetaTrader data folder and put the file inside MQL5 → Experts. Refresh Navigator or restart MetaTrader. Orion appears under Expert Advisors.

  3. Allow the address

    Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL, then add https://admin.orionscalper.com. If you skip this, the chart says so and the Experts journal prints the exact menu path to fix it.

  4. Open a gold chart

    Any chart period works. Orion reads its own timeframes.

  5. Attach and paste your key

    Drag Orion onto the chart. In the Inputs tab, replace ENTER LICENSE KEY HERE with your key. In the Common tab tick Allow Algo Trading. Your plan is not an input. The Orion server sends it.

  6. The lock box appears

    A red-bordered box sits on the chart while Orion waits. The journal prints a six-digit match code. Nothing trades yet, and that is the point.

  7. Approve it in the portal

    Licenses & accounts → Pair your device. The page checks for the request by itself. Approve only if the same six digits are on your chart. One active device per licence.

  8. Orion rechecks and starts

    Approval alone does not unlock trading. The EA asks the server again within a few minutes. When the answer is yes, new entries unlock and the dashboard draws.

When something goes wrong.

Open trades stay managed as long as Orion is on the chart and AutoTrading is on. Nothing on the licence or server side changes that. The two cases that do are marked below.

You switch AutoTrading off

Open tradesnot managed. Orion still tries to close them and the terminal blocks every attempt, so basket exits are missed. They stay open at your broker with whatever stop loss and take profit they were opened with.

You remove the EA from the chart, or MetaTrader is not running

the panel and the chart text clear. A closed terminal, a VPS reboot or a sleeping PC is the same case: Orion is not there

The market goes against it

One stop is hitthe rest of the Orion basket closes with it, on every plan. It stops running once a daily limit has stopped trading.

The daily loss line is reachednew entries stop and open trades stay managed. It stays stopped for the rest of the day, and restarting Orion does not clear it.

What cannot happen by accident

No buttonsthe chart panel is text only. There is nothing on it to click.

Your own tradesOrion’s close-all only touches XAUUSD positions carrying an Orion magic number, including ones an older Orion opened. On a hedging account your own trades are never touched.

What keeps running

Orion checks in on its own. Nothing to press, nothing to remember. Every bar is a real interval from the V5.2 source or the portal, drawn to the same scale.
