Privacy policy
This policy describes the categories of information Orion may process through its public website, analytics service, client portal, licensing workflow, payment verification, support channels, the Orion software running in a customer’s MetaTrader 5 terminal, and the separate Orion Trade Assistant tool.
Effective date and contact
Effective date: 29 July 2026. Updated: 21 October 2026, to add the Orion Trade Assistant sections and its trade panel. This policy is written in English. Where the law of your country asks for a version in your language, we will provide one. For privacy questions and applicable access, correction, or deletion requests, contact support@orionscalper.com.
Information processed
Optional Orion website analytics starts only after you choose Accept in the website analytics banner. It measures public page visits using a browser identifier and a tab session identifier. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments, and referral information is limited to the referring site. Analytics settings at the bottom of public pages lets you decline later and remove these Orion identifiers from your browser. Declining stops future website measurement; it does not delete events already received. On most pages this choice is separate from Meta advertising consent. The Trade Assistant page works differently, as described next.
On the Trade Assistant page (trade-assistant.html), Orion counts page visits, use of the lot calculator, and taps on the sign-up buttons. It uses a visitor identifier saved in your browser and a tab session identifier, and sends these counts to app.orionscalper.com with the page address (without query strings or fragments), which button was tapped, and Meta’s _fbp and _fbc identifiers when present. This follows the same choice as Meta measurement on that page: in Europe it starts only after you choose Accept; elsewhere it is on unless you turn it off. Turn off measurement at the bottom of that page stops it, stops Meta measurement on that page, and removes these Orion identifiers from your browser. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes them. Turning it off does not delete counts already received.
Orion may process pseudonymous browser, visitor, and session identifiers, page and CTA events, UTM campaign information, referrer data, approximate region information supplied by hosting infrastructure, consent choices, and Meta identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc.
When you create an account or purchase access, Orion may process your name, email, country, Telegram username, plan, payment method, payment status, transaction reference, license assignment, account binding, support messages, and product activity needed to operate the service. When you sign up, Orion guesses your country from your internet connection (or your device’s time zone) and your name from your email address, keeps only the country—not your IP address—and asks you to confirm both before you buy. In the client portal you may also choose to add a WhatsApp or phone number, your trading experience, and where you use MetaTrader 5; Orion uses these only to help you with setup and, for your phone number or Telegram username, to check it is you if you ever need to recover your account; Orion shows them only to Orion administrators, never shares them, and does not use them for marketing.
Information sent from the MetaTrader terminal
The Orion Expert Advisor runs inside your own MetaTrader 5 terminal. While it is running it connects directly to admin.orionscalper.com, the same host that issues and checks licences, and sends information about the trading account it is attached to. This is separate from the website, the analytics service, and the client portal. It happens on your computer or VPS whether or not any Orion page is open in a browser.
Each message identifies the installation and the account: your licence key, the trading account number, the broker server name, whether the account is real or demo, the installation identifier that terminal generated and stores in its own file folder, and whether the licence is currently valid or running on its offline grace period. Each message also carries its own reference, sequence number, and timestamp.
Each message carries a snapshot of the account at that moment—balance, equity, credit, margin, free margin, margin level, floating profit, account leverage, and account currency—together with the positions Orion is managing and the Orion trades that have closed recently.
For an open position this includes the symbol, direction, volume, open price, current price, stop loss, take profit, swap, current profit, the ticket and position numbers, and the time it opened. For a closed deal it includes the symbol, direction, volume, price, stop loss, take profit, commission, swap, fee, profit, the deal, order and position numbers, the time, whether the deal opened or closed the position, and what closed it—the software itself, a stop loss, a take profit, a stop out, or a manual action taken from the desktop, mobile, or web terminal. Positions and deals that Orion did not open are not included.
The message also records the Orion version, your MetaTrader build number, whether the terminal is connected, whether trading is permitted in the terminal and for the program, and the symbol and timeframe of the chart Orion is attached to. Orion does not read or send your broker account password.
While the terminal is running, a message is sent about once a minute when Orion has a position open and about once every two minutes when it does not. The server can ask for a longer interval but not a shorter one, up to fifteen minutes. One message carries at most 100 open positions and at most 40 closed deals. Closed deals are read from a rolling 90-day window of the account’s history, oldest unsent first, so a longer history is delivered across several messages.
This information is used to check and enforce the licence, to pair the licence to one device and to approve or refuse further devices, to build the dashboard, positions, journal, and reports shown in your client portal, and to answer support questions about a specific account or installation.
There is no setting in the software that turns this off. Licence validation, device approval, and account reporting all use the same host, admin.orionscalper.com, so the permission that allows the licence check also allows the reporting. Running Orion means sending this information.
Removing the Expert Advisor from the chart, or from the terminal, stops it. So does removing https://admin.orionscalper.com from Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL: the request is then blocked inside MetaTrader and nothing is sent. That permission is shared, so removing it also stops licence validation and device approval. After the short offline grace period the licence is treated as unverified and Orion stops opening new trades, though it continues to manage positions that are already open.
Orion Trade Assistant: what it is
Orion Trade Assistant is a separate tool for MetaTrader 5. It is not the Orion Expert Advisor described above. It reads the account it is attached to and shows warnings, a lot-size calculator and reports. It has an optional trade panel, described below. Orion never trades by itself. It never asks for your MetaTrader password or your investor password. It is for adults aged 18 or older.
The tool runs in your own MetaTrader 5 terminal on a PC or a VPS. You connect it with a tool key from your client portal, then approve a 6-digit code in the portal. Before the tool can send anything, you must tick a consent box in the portal. After that, while the terminal is running, the tool connects to admin.orionscalper.com and sends the information below.
Orion Trade Assistant: the trade panel
On the Pro plan and during the Pro trial (7 days, or 14 with a founding-member code), the tool has an optional trade panel with Buy and Sell buttons. It is off until you turn it on with the switch on the chart (the switch starts off every time MetaTrader 5 starts), and it needs Algo Trading turned on in MetaTrader 5. When it is on, the tool sends an order to your broker only when you click Buy or Sell on your own chart (and confirm, unless you have turned on one-click trading). After that it changes or closes only the trades it opened, by the trailing, break-even and split rules you set, or when you change or close them from the panel, and only while MetaTrader 5 is running with the tool. It keeps doing this for trades already open even if the panel is later turned off or your plan changes, until they close or you choose Stop managing. It never changes or closes other trades. Orion's servers never send trade instructions to the tool. The trading decisions are yours.
Trades opened by the trade panel carry the number 503100 in their magic number field, so you and Orion can tell them apart. The tool keeps small files in your terminal with these trades and your panel settings. It does not send those files.
Orion Trade Assistant: what it sends
Unlike the Orion Expert Advisor, the tool reports the whole account: trades you place by hand on the desktop, trades placed from the MetaTrader mobile app, and trades placed by any other Expert Advisor.
Each message identifies the installation and the account: your tool key, the trading account number, the broker server name, whether the account is real or demo, and an installation identifier that the tool creates and stores in its own file folder. It also carries its own reference, sequence number and timestamp.
Each message carries a snapshot of the account at that moment: balance, equity, credit, margin, free margin, margin level, floating profit or loss, leverage and account currency.
For each open trade it sends the symbol, direction, volume, open price, current price, stop loss, take profit, swap, current profit or loss, the ticket and position numbers, the magic number set by any Expert Advisor, the time it opened, and the amount of money that would be lost if the stop loss were hit. For each closed deal it sends the symbol, direction, volume, price, stop loss, take profit, commission, swap, fee, profit or loss, the deal, order and position numbers, the time, whether the deal opened or closed the position, and what closed it. It also sends deposits and withdrawals: their amount and time.
It also records the tool version, your MetaTrader build number, whether the terminal is connected, whether trading is permitted in the terminal, and the symbol and timeframe of the chart the tool is attached to.
The tool does not send the account holder’s name, any password, or trade comments. Other software often writes free text in trade comments, so the tool leaves them out.
While the terminal is running, a message is sent about once a minute when a trade is open and about once every two minutes when none is. When the tool first connects, it also sends closed deals from the last 90 days, a few messages at a time.
Your IP address is used to limit abuse. It is stored only as a keyed hash, which cannot be turned back into the address without a secret key held by Orion.
Orion Trade Assistant: why we use it
We use this information to show you your own account summary, warnings, mistakes list, risk score, journal, goals and weekly report in the client portal; to mark the trades you opened from the trade panel; to check whether your account has the Free or Pro plan, including the Pro trial (7 days, or 14 with a founding-member code); to turn the trade panel on or off for your plan; to stop the same trading account from getting more than one free trial; to answer your support questions; and to keep the service secure.
We use it because you asked us to provide this service and because you agreed to it with the consent box in the portal. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disconnecting the tool. This does not affect data sent before you withdrew.
We do not use your trading data in advertising, and we do not send it to Meta or any other advertising company. We do not sell it.
Orion Trade Assistant: where it is stored and how long
The data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) and processed by our hosting provider (Vercel). Both run our service in Mumbai, India. If you live outside India, your data is transferred to India and stored there. Our providers handle it under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it:
Account snapshots: 90 days on the Free plan, 365 days on the Pro plan. Closed deals, deposits and withdrawals: 365 days on the Free plan, 730 days on the Pro plan. Open trades: only the latest list is kept; it is replaced each time the tool sends a new one. Message references used to reject repeated messages: 30 days.
The period is fixed when each record arrives. Records that arrive during the Pro trial (7 days, or 14 with a founding-member code) keep the Pro period, even if you do not buy Pro later. After the period ends, the records are deleted automatically.
Orion Trade Assistant: who can see it
You can see your data in the client portal. Orion staff can also see it in the Orion admin panel, to give support and to check that the service works. Our service providers process it for us: Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting). We may also share it where the law requires us to.
Orion Trade Assistant: your choices
Stop sending: remove the tool from the chart, or click Disconnect in the client portal. Removing https://admin.orionscalper.com from Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL also stops it. If you use the Orion Expert Advisor too, that last step stops it as well, because both use the same address.
Delete: click Delete all tool data in the client portal. This removes the tool’s account data, trades and installation records. We keep a short trial record: a keyed hash of your account number and broker server, the trial dates, and a link to your Orion account. The hash cannot be turned back into the account number without Orion’s secret key. We keep this record only so that the same trading account, or the same Orion account, cannot start another free trial. If you delete your whole Orion account, the link to it is removed. We also keep how many trading accounts you have connected and the date of your last account change, so that the limit of one account change every 7 days still applies. This record holds no account numbers. We also keep whether you used a founding-member code, and when, so it cannot be used again.
Get a copy: on any plan, email support@orionscalper.com from your account email and we will send a copy of your tool data within 21 days. Pro users can also download their trades as a CSV file in the portal.
Orion Trade Assistant: your rights
Depending on the country you live in, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to get a copy, to withdraw your consent, and to object to how we use it. Most of this you can do yourself in the client portal. For anything else, email support@orionscalper.com from your account email. We answer within 21 days, or sooner if the law of your country requires it. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
IP addresses and infrastructure
Orion’s application is designed not to intentionally persist raw IP addresses in its analytics database. Infrastructure providers—including hosting, security, database, website, and advertising providers—may process network information to deliver their services.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate analytics, prevent abuse, manage accounts and licenses, verify payments, deliver product access, improve the website, provide support, measure campaigns, meet legal obligations, and protect Orion and its users.
Payment providers
When a customer chooses a third-party payment service, that provider may independently process wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, device and network information, fraud signals, and identity or compliance information under its own privacy policy. Orion receives the order and payment-status information needed to match the transaction, deliver the license, provide support, maintain accounting records, and handle disputes.
Retention and requests
Records are retained only as reasonably required for operations, security, accounting, support, licensing, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Contact official email support to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
If there is a data breach
If a security breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the data protection authority in the relevant country when the law requires it, as soon as we can. We will explain what happened, what data was affected, and what you can do.
